So what’s good about them? Well sweet potato is a great source of a starchy carb, meaning that if you need some extra energy, replenishment after a hard physical day, or you just need to support your body with a good source of carbs. It doesn’t have any hidden dangers, it is a one ingredient food.
What do I mean by this? Many carbohydrate sources such as grains and refined carbs have a number of hidden anti-nutrients which can lead to digestive issues, blood sugar problems, and as such health issues in general, (this is not to say all grains are bad, but if you suspect you have an issue, then sweet potatoes are a better option). What I mean by being a one ingredient food is just that, the only ingredients in sweet potato is well, sweet potato, (and you can ensure this even further by purchasing organic).
